We met a group of young Indigenous people from the Ecuadorian and Peruvian Amazon through the Leadership Program with Gender Sensitivity for Young Indigenous people, in the framework of the All Eyes on the Amazon program. They learned about legislation, sustainability, climate change, gender; but we learned much more through their voices and their stories.
This Ebook is the product of long conversations, testimonials, and messages with Jhomar of the Shipibo- Konibo people of Peru, Samantha, Shuar of the Ecuadorian Amazon, Yulissa of the Yine people and more Indigenous young people who opened their hearts to us and with them their intentions, concerns, and illusions.
Through their stories, we teleport to their homes, communities, and even their dreams of Ayahuasca. We hope that they not only succeed in transporting us to the depth of the Amazon but also that they inspire us to join them in the fight to protect the Amazon forest and its inhabitants.
